Stock market ends the day with a decrease on January 14. In
Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index lost 0.81 percent and closed the day with 1.546.60 points.
At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index decreased by 12.68 points compared to its previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 34.1 billion liras.
At the closing, the banking index lost 1.44 percent, while the holding index lost 0.98 percent. Among the industry indices, tourism earned the most with 2.48 percent, while construction was the most declining with 4.31 percent.
BIST 100 index, which recorded a record level with 1.568.06 points during the day, reached the balance above 1.545.00 with the effect of profit sales following this level.
Analysts stated that the expectation of the trillion dollar stimulus package, which is expected to be announced by Joe Biden, who was elected to the US Presidency, is the focus of the agenda. On the other hand, it was stated that increasing new types of coronavirus cases worldwide decreased the global risk appetite despite vaccination studies.
Indicating that the short-term debt statistics and expectation survey statistics will be monitored in the country tomorrow, analysts reminded that the industrial production in the USA, the Producer Price Index (PPI), retail sales and the consumer confidence index of the University of Michigan will be followed abroad.
In technical terms, analysts stated that 1.550 and 1.580 levels are in the resistance position and 1.500 level is in support position in the
BIST 100 index.
