Stock market ends the day with a record on December 9. The BIST 100 index gained 0.78 percent in
Borsa Istanbul and refreshed the closing record with 1,350.32 points.
At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index increased by 10.43 points compared to its previous closing, and the total transaction volume was 37.1 billion lira.
At the closing, the banking index gained 2.55 percent, while the holding index gained 1.33 percent. While banking was the most profitable among sector indices, tourism was the most declining with 1.36 percent.
The BIST 100 index, which gained 0.78 percent under the leadership of banking stocks, made its all-time closing with 1,350.32 points. The highest level seen by the index during the day was 1,360.63 points.
It was stated that the news about the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine, economic recovery steps around the world, Brexit negotiations and the escalation of the US-China tension were at the center of the agenda.
Analysts stated that the domestic labor force statistics will be monitored tomorrow and that the data agenda, especially the European Central Bank interest rate decision and inflation in the USA, will be followed abroad.
In technical terms, analysts stated that 1.360 could stand out as resistance and 1.290 points as support in the
BIST 100 index.
