The stock market refreshed its closing record. BIST 100 index gained 0.03 percent in Borsa İstanbul and closed the day with 1.426.03 points.

Stock Market Refreshed its Closing Record The stock market refreshed its closing record. BIST 100 index gained 0.03 percent in Borsa İstanbul and closed the day with 1.426.03 points. With this level, the BIST 100 index recorded its highest closing, and brought the highest level record it had seen to 1,438.49 points. At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index increased by 0.03 points compared to its previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 23.5 billion liras. At the closing, while the banking index depreciated by 0.39, the holding index fell by 0.57 percent. Among the industry indices, forest and paper printing were the most profitable with 4.21 percent, while sports was the most losing with 1.96 percent. The BIST 100 index, which saw its historical record with 1,438.49 points during the day, even tough it decreased to 1,422.71 points ,compensated its losses and closed with 1,426.03 points. Analysts stated that the emphasis on combating inflation and financial stability in the CBRT's interest rate decision and decision text increased the interest in Turkish lira assets. Due to the closure of international markets due to the Christmas holiday today, the transaction volume remained low. On the technical side, analysts stated that 1.440 and 1.455 stand out as resistance and 1.390 points as support in the BIST 100 index.
