At the beginning of the day, BIST 100 index, which decreased by 4.39 points and 0.28 percent compared to its previous closing, regressed to 1.535.82 points.
While the banking index lost value by 0.58 percent at the opening, the holding index decreased by 0.15 percent. At the opening, financial leasing and factoring gained the most with 1.33 percent among the sector indices, while communication was the most declining with 0.73 percent.
The BIST 100 index, which moved with sellers on the first trading day of the week, lost 0.15 percent compared to the previous close and closed the day with 1.540.21 points.
Analysts stated that in the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, the increase in the number of cases and casualties, the new restrictions and uncertainties regarding financial incentive packages are reflected in the stock markets on a global scale.
Indicating that the domestic data agenda seems stagnant today, analysts said that the consumer confidence index to be announced in the USA stood out on the international data agenda.
On the technical side, analysts stated that 1.525 points are in support and 1.570 points are in resistance for the
BIST 100 index.
