Stock market started the day with a decrease on October 15.
BIST 100 index in
Borsa Istanbul decreased by 0.14 percent and opened the day with 1,187.64 points.
BIST 100 index, which lost 1.65 points and 0.14 percent value at the beginning of the day, fell to 1.187.64 points.
While banking depreciated by 0.33 at the opening, holding index depreciated by 0.14 percent. Securities investment trusts earned the most with 1.26 percent among the industry indices, while the highest loss was recorded on forest paper printing with 1.20 percent.
The BIST 100 index diverged positively from the world markets after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Saturday that they will go to Fatih drill ship and announce the new reserve amount. The index, which increased by 1.24 points yesterday, closed the day with 1.189.29 points.
Stating that negative news about the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine, tightening of measures in Europe and the incentive package in the USA decreased the risk appetite, analysts noted that geopolitical developments, especially in the Eastern Mediterranean, Syria, Azerbaijan and Libya, remained at the center of the agenda.
Reminding that the balance sheets to be announced in the USA and the statements coming from the EU Leaders Summit will be followed today, analysts said that on the macroeconomic side, an intense data agenda will be followed at home and abroad.
In technical terms, analysts stated that 1,200 points are observed as resistance in the BIST 100 index, and 1,150 points will be in the support position if it falls below 1,180 points.
