The stock market started the day with a record level on November 11. In
Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.55 percent and started the day with 1,249.87 points.
The BIST 100 index, which gained 6.87 points and 0.55 percent value at the beginning of the day, reached an all-time high of 1,249.87 points.
At the opening, the banking index gained 0.97 percent, while the holding index gained 0.72 percent. Among the industry indices, tourism earned the most with 1.13 percent, while forest, paper and printing became the most declining with 0.89 percent.
At its close on Tuesday, the index recorded its all-time close with 1,243.00 points.
Yesterday, in a speech by Treasury and Finance Minister Lütfi Elvan said, "We will focus on a market-friendly transformation program that includes micro reforms while strengthening macroeconomic stability," and analysts said the markets are moving positively.
Before the opening today, analysts stated that the Banking Regulation and Supervision Board increased the limits on currency swaps, forward, options and other derivative transactions with non-residents in terms of TL sales in maturity, and that this development will support the banking sector.
Indicating that the balance of payments will be monitored domestically today, analysts reminded that the speech of European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde will be monitored abroad.
On the technical side, analysts stated that in the
BIST 100 index, 1.250 and 1.270 levels are in the resistance position and 1.190 points are in the support position.
