Stock Market Started the Day With A Record on December 16 The stock market started the day with a record on December 16. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.63 percent and opened with 1,404.25 points. At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 8,85 points and 0,63 percent compared to the closing, recorded an all-time high with 1,404.25 points. While the banking index gained 0.88 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.52 percent. While all sector indices started the day with gain in value, banking was the most profitable. The BIST 100 index, which gained 0.49 percent on Tuesday, closed with 1,395.40 points and broke the new closing record. Today domestically, President of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Naci Ağbal’s presentation on the "2021 Monetary and Exchange Rate Policy for the Year" promotion meeting will be followed, analysts stated that Federal Reserve (Fed) interest rate decision and  Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) to be announced worldwide will be closely monitored. It was stated that the FED is not expected to make a change in interest rates and asset purchases at the last meeting of the year, and it was stated that the direction of the markets with supportive words could be strengthened in the decision text and Powell's statements. On the technical side, analysts stated that in the BIST 100 index, 1.440 points are in the resistance position and 1.320 is in the support position.
