Stock Market Started The Day With a Rise on September 25 The day started with a rise in the stock market on September 25. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul increased by 1 percent and opened the day with 1,130.72 points. The BIST 100 index, which gained 11.16 points and 1.00 percent value at the beginning of the day, reached 1.130.72 points. The banking index rose by 2.29 percent at the opening; holding index also increased by 1.16 percent. All industry indices started the day with an increase, and the most profitable among them was recorded as banking. On Thursday, the Central Bank of Turkey (CBRT) after making the interest rate decision, with the intensification of the purchase of shares in the bank BIST 100 index gained 1.53, and closed the day with a value of 1119.56 points. Reminding that the CBRT increased its policy rate by 200 basis points to 10.25 percent contrary to market expectations, analysts stated that todays decisions taken by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) support the markets. With the new decision taken by the BRSA, banks raised the limits on swaps and other derivative transactions to be carried out in TL purchase or sale at maturity. On the other hand, it was stated that the intense diplomacy regarding the geopolitical tension in the Eastern Mediterranean eased the pressure on the markets. On the technical side, analysts stated that if the BIST 100 index can hold above 1.120 resistance, the new target will be 1.155.
