Stock Market Started The Day with an Increase on December 31 The stock market started the day with an increase on December 31. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul increased by 0.09 percent and started at 1,481.24 points. At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 1.33 points and 0.09 percent compared to its previous closing, reached 1.481.24 points. While the banking index lost its value by 0.01 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.41 percent. Among the industry indices, tourism earned the most with 1.19 percent, while the only decline was on banking. The BIST 100 index, supported by the decline in exchange rates on Wednesday, gained 1.38 percent and closed at an all-time close with 1,479.91 points. In addition, the index refreshed its highest level record by reaching 1.483.16 points during the day. Reminding that the markets will be closed due to the New Year holiday tomorrow, analysts stated that the volatility in index and index-based futures contracts may be high on the last trading day of 2020. In addition, analysts reminded that summary of the Turkey's Central Bank Monetary Policy Committee meeting will be followed along with foreign trade data. In technical terms, analysts stated that the BIST 100 index is at 1.490 resistance and 1.420 points in support.
