The BIST 100 index, which gained 8.72 points and 0.78 percent at the beginning of the day, reached 1.131.97 points.
While the banking index gained 1.72 percent value at the opening; holding index gained 0.97 percent. While banking was the most profitable among sector indices; The highest decline was recorded as sports with 0.72 percent.
Following the announcement of the New Economy Program with the themes of "New Balancing, New Normal, New Economy" by Berat Albayrak, Minister of Treasury and Finance, Borsa Istanbul started to gain buyers. Thus, the BIST 100 index, which gained 0.19 percent, closed the day with 1.123.25 points.
Indicating that foreign trade statistics will be monitored in the country today, analysts said that growth in the US and inflation in the Eurozone will be monitored abroad.
On the international data agenda, consumer confidence index in the Eurozone and inflation data in Germany will be monitored. In addition, it was stated that geopolitical developments, new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) treatment and news about the incentive package in the USA remained at the center of the agenda. On the other hand, it was noted that the continuation of the normalization steps after the epidemic supports the stock markets.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.155 stands out as resistance in the BIST 100 index, while 1.120 points were on the support position.
