Stock market started the new week with a record on December 14. BIST 100 index gained 0.88 percent in
Borsa Istanbul and started the week with 1,382.74 points. This level has been recorded as the highest level of all time.
At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which increased by 12.04 points and 0.88 percent compared to the close, refreshed its record with 1,382.74 points.
While the banking index gained 1.09 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 1.26 percent. While the holding was the most profitable among the industry indices, sports was the most declining with 1.09 percent.
The BIST 100 index, which continued its rising trend on Friday, closed the week with 1.370.70 points with 1.28 percent gain in value. On a weekly basis, the BIST 100 index, which gained 2.99 percent value, rose 6 weeks in a row.
Analysts are stating today in domestic and industrial production data in the Eurozone will be monitored, while throughout the week, "Monetary and Exchange Rate Policy for the Year 2021” which will be announced by the Republic of Turkey Central Bank of Turkey (CBRT) and the US interest rate decision by the Central Bank on Wednesday, decisions of the Central Bank of England on Thursday, and the decision of the Central Bank of Japan will be followed on Friday, analysts also noted that the stock market agenda will be dense.
On the financial agenda of the world, it was emphasized that there was an economic support package in the USA, Brexit negotiations in Europe and news about the new type of coronavirus vaccine.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.390 in the
BIST 100 index is in the position of resistance and 1.320 points in the support position.
