BIST 100 index, which gained 13.41 points and 1.04 percent value at the beginning of the day, broke its new record with 1.304.70 points. While the banking index gained 1.56 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.88 percent. While all sector indices started the day with an increase, the highest earning was recorded on forest, paper and printing with 3.63 percent.
Interest in TL assets has increased after Lütfi Elvan's appointment as the Minister of Treasury and Finance and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's 'new era in the economy' emphasis last week. Thanks to the 11.5 percent depreciation of the USD / TL exchange rate within a week, Borsa Istanbul broke records in transaction volume, the highest level until then, 1.303.81 points.
BIST 100 index, which gained 1.54 percent on Friday, closed the week at 1,291.29 points, increasing by 8.33 percent compared to the previous week's closing.

In addition, it was stated that after the macroeconomic data announced in Asia today was better than the expectations, the speech of the European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde will be followed in addition to the budget balance in the country and the New York FED industrial index in the USA.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.340 in the BIST 100 index is in a resistance position.
