Stock market started the new week with a decrease on October 26.
BIST 100 index in
Borsa Istanbul showed a decrease of 0.69 percent and opened the day with 1,182.45 points.
BIST 100 index, which lost 8,18 points and 0,69 percent value at the beginning of the day, fell to 1,182,45 points.
While the banking index depreciated by 1.23 at the opening, the holding index depreciated by 1 percent. Among the industry indices, forest, paper and printing were the most profitable with 0.90 percent, while the biggest decline was recorded on securities investment partnership with 1.65 percent.
The BIST 100 index, which closed Friday with 1.190.63 points with a 0.64 percent loss, stopped its 6-week upward trend with a weekly decline of 0.18 percent.
This week in the country, on Wednesday, Central Bank of Turkey (CBRT) will announce the 4.Inflation Report and Monetary Policy analysts stating that the Board meeting summary will be monitored. Abroad, with the Thursdays the European Central Bank and the interest rate decision of the Bank of Japan analysts stated that data agenda is intense, especially the growth of the USA, will be monitored.
It has been reported that the increasing number of coronavirus (Covid-19) cases worldwide, stimulus package talks in the USA and geopolitical developments remain at the center of the agenda. In addition, it was stated that due to the third quarter financial results that have started to be announced domestically, stock and sector-based movements may come to the agenda.
In technical terms, analysts stated that for the BIST 100 index, 1.180 and 1.165 levels can be followed as support and 1.225 points in the resistance.
