The stock market started the week with an increase on October 5.
BIST 100 index in
Borsa Istanbul increased by 0.50 percent and opened the day with 1,150.79 points.
The BIST 100 index, which gained 5.76 points and 0.50 percent at the beginning of the day, reached 1,150.79 points.
While the banking index gained value by 0.50 at the opening; holding index gained 0.52 percent. Among the industry indices, mining was the most profitable with 1.54 percent, while the only loss was recorded on sports with 1.59 percent.
BIST 100 index, which gained 0.13 percent value on Friday last week, closed the day with 1,145.03 points. When looking at the general week situation, it was observed that the BIST 100 index, which tested 1.155 points, increased 1.86 percent compared to the previous week and was in an upward trend for four consecutive weeks.
Stating that the statements of US President Donald Trump, who diagnosed positive of the coronavirus, but that the health condition is good, support the global risk appetite, analysts stated that the increase in the number of cases in Europe partially suppressed the risk appetite.
Indicating that inflation figures will be monitored on the domestic data agenda today, analysts noted that the service sector PMI data to be announced globally abroad came to the fore. In addition, it was reported that news and geopolitical developments regarding the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) treatment remained at the center of the agenda.
On the technical side, analysts stated that the level of 1,120 in the BIST 100 index is an important support for the short-term outlook, and that 1,155 points are in the resistance position.
