Stock Markets Around The World Continue To Grow
Stock markets around the world continue to grow. They are supported by hopes that US politicians will agree on new incentives.
Asian stock markets rose on Thursday after the mostly positive development on Wall Street on Wednesday. European stock exchanges opened with strengthening.
Japan's main index, the Nikkei 225, improved 0.18% on Thursday to close at 26,806.67 points. The broader Topix index rose 0.32% to 1,792.58 points.
Hong Kong's
Hang Seng rose 0.82% to 26,678.38 points. The main Shanghai Composite Index rose by 1.13% to 3404.87 points and the Shenzhen Composite index by 0.93% to 2269.48 points.
European stock exchanges also continue to strengthen. The key German index
Dax was at 9.13 CET with a plus 0.76% to 13.668.50 points. It is approaching its record 13,795 points from February again.
The main French CAC 40 index rose by 0.40%, the Italian FTSE MIB by 0.30%, the Spanish IBEX 35 by 0.09% and the British FTSE 100 by 0.18%. The EuroStoxx 50 eurozone blue-chip index was up 0.61% to 3564.58 points at 9.17 CET. The pan-European STOXX Europe 600 index improved by 0.44% to 397.82 points.
US stocks closed mixed on Wednesday, with technology Nasdaq setting a new record high.
The key US Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 0.15% and closed at 30,154.54 points. Conversely, the broader S&P 500 rose 0.18% to 3701.17 points and the technology Nasdaq Composite rose 0.50% to 12,658.19 points.
