Index Movements
Topix and Nikkei 225 indices generally followed a horizontal course in the morning session.
In China mainland, Shanghai and Shenzhen indexes fell slightly. The Hang Seng index also experienced a slight retreat.
The South Korean Kospi Index was down, while the S&P / ASX in Australia showed an upward trend. MSCI Asia Pacific Index, on the other hand, remained flat in transactions on Thursday.
Data Announced in Asia
The
Ministry of Finance of Japan shared export data in the country today. According to the data announced by the Ministry, exports in Japan increased by 38 percent in April compared to April 2020 and were above expectations.
In seasonally adjusted data of Australia, it was noted that the unemployment rate was 5.5 percent in April.
In China, the one-year benchmark interest rate (LPR) was not changed in May and was kept constant at 3.85 percent. In the five-year LPR, it was kept constant at 4.65 percent, in line with the expectations.
