Tariff Period Extended for Some Products
Tariff period have been extended for some products. The decision on the subject was published in the
Official Gazette and entered into force.
In addition to certain industrial products, additional customs duties on products such as textiles, leather and garments have been extended until December 31st.
The President's Decree on Making Amendments to Decisions Supplementary to the Import Regime Decision was published in the
Official Gazette and entered into force.
According to the decision taken, in order to protect various sectors more effectively against the risk of low-priced import pressure due to excess supply due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, it is possible to increase tariffs on some industrial products by taking into account the legal tax rates until September 30.
Considering the consequences of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, the duration of additional customs duties for textiles, leather and apparel products, as well as these industrial products, was extended to December 31, while maintaining high rates.
