Erdogan said, "Until the end of this year, we will put Turkey's first electric car, TOGG, off the production line and put it into service."
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made the following statements by making a live connection to the Great Economies Forum on energy and climate from Vahdettin Mansion: "Until the end of this year, we will put Turkey's first electric car (Turkey's Automobile Enterprise Group) TOGG into service by taking it off the production line. We are promoting sustainable and climate-friendly modes of transportation. It is under the auspices of my wife, Emine Erdoğan, who is appreciated by the UN and many global organizations, with the 'Zero Waste' movement, we have made great strides in environmental protection, recycling and emission reduction. With the awareness of the importance of technology and groundbreaking research and development, we carry out our green growth technology roadmap studies. We also continue our green hydrogen efforts with determination. Financing and technology transfer stand out as the key topics of this process. The greatest responsibility in this regard, of course, falls on the countries that have had a role in bringing the problem to this point for centuries. Turkey is the twelfth in the world and the fifth in Europe in terms of its renewable installed capacity. We rank first in Europe in geothermal installed power and second in Europe in hydroelectric power plant installed power. With the improvements we have made in the field of energy, 100 million tons of additional greenhouse gas emissions per year have been avoided. Energy efficiency, transition to clean energy and energy transformation are inseparable parts of energy security. As Turkey, we have been taking a position with this understanding for a long time. In this way, we have created 54% of our installed electricity power in renewable energy power plants. 97 percent of our power plants with gigawatt capacity are renewable energy power plants.”İLGİLİ HABERLER
