Teamviewer wants to crack the billion in sales in two years
The software house Teamviewer wants to crack the billion in sales. The goal is to increase the billed sales (billings) over the mark of one billion euros in 2023, announced the company, which is listed in the MDax. In order to achieve this, company boss Oliver Steil wants to expand the offer to other branches of industry, expand the application possibilities and strengthen the large customer segment. "We can now make an offer for digitization for every division and are present in all major countries. That makes us confident that we will continue to grow by 30 percent," said Steil.
Acquisitions are also likely to play a key role in achieving the goals. Last year, Teamviewer, which is best known for its remote maintenance software, made its first takeover with the augmented reality specialist Ubimax and has since snapped up the Austrian software startup Xaleon. "We have a long list of possible interesting companies of a similar size. I would say we will see one or two acquisitions," said Steil. The next acquisition will probably be made abroad - "probably in Asia or the USA".
Last year, the Billings increased currency-adjusted by 44 percent to around 460 million euros. The booked turnover grew less strongly with a plus of 17 percent to almost 456 million euros. The adjusted operating result (Ebitda), however, climbed 44 percent to around 261 million euros. The adjusted Ebitda margin was 56.8 percent and should be similarly high this year - between 55 and 57 percent.
The billings of the company from
Göppingen, which has been listed on the stock exchange since September 2019, should be between 585 and 605 million euros in 2021. "In the current year, we expect the digitization projects to normalize, after everything was distorted by the corona pandemic last year," said
Steil, who now wants to concentrate not only on Europe and the USA, but also primarily on Japan, where "there is a lot of catching up to do with digitization". Dealers described the outlook for the current year as disappointing.
