TESK Requested the Postponement of Tradesmen's Debts
TESK requested the postponement of tradesmen’s debts. TESK President Palandöken explained their demands for non-refundable grant support to tradesmen.
Bendevi Palandöken, President of the Confederation of Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen (
TESK), stated that tradesmen suffering from the coronavirus epidemic should be given free grant support and all their debts should be postponed without interest until the end of the year.
Palandöken, in his written statement regarding the gradual normalization process, after the new circular of the Ministry of Interior, stated that the bill related to the epidemic was "harmed to tradesmen and craftsmen once again."
TESK President Palandöken, who said that tradesmen needs to work and that people should start their jobs, said, "The invoice was issued to our tradesmen in the full and controlled lockdown that have been in effect for 14-15 months. The support given was insufficient. The debts were always postponed with interest. and all debts should be postponed until the end of the year without interest. Our tradesmen are no longer able to bear this burden."
Speaking about the restrictions on the transportation sector, TESK President made the following statements:
"While no restrictions are imposed on airways, the restriction of passenger transport with 50 percent capacity on urban and intercity public transportation vehicles is no longer a burden for our tradesmen to carry. Commercial fuel free of VAT and SCT should be given to our tradesmen serving in this segment and should be specially supported."
