According to the report on the automotive giant's website, a total of 383 thousand 830 cars were sold in the third quarter of the year. While 18 thousand 672 of these sales consisted of Model S and Model X sales, Model 3 and Model Y sales were announced as 325 thousand 158. Last year, Elon Musk told Tesla to stop trying to speed up production and instead focus on finding ways to minimize transportation costs.
Tesla, which managed to make more sales every quarter for two years, saw a decline in sales figures last quarter after serious Covid cases at the Shanghai factory. While Shanghai is back in operation, the Texas and Berlin plants have also started production.
Elon Musk announced at Tesla's AI Day event that 160 thousand Tesla users now have full autonomous driving beta access.
