A Tether spokesperson made a statement on the subject and used the following statements: “Tether has frozen three addresses containing 160 million USDT on the Ethereum blockchain at the request of law enforcement. We cannot disclose any further details at this time.” The three addresses in question will no longer be able to carry funds. Tether has said in the past that it has worked with regulators to audit suspicious accounts.
