The Decline In The Number Of Tourists Continues
The decline in the number of tourists continues. According to the data released by the
Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the number of foreign visitors decreased by 61.9 percent in November compared to the same period of the previous year in Turkey. In the January-November period, the decrease was recorded as 72 percent.
According to the data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism passed, number of foreign tourists visiting Turkey decreased by 61.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and was recorded as 833 thousand 991. Annual decline was recorded as 59.4 percent in September and October.
Most visits to Turkey were from Bulgaria in November which was followed by Russia and Iraq.
In the January-November period, when the coronavirus epidemic was felt the most in Turkey, annual tourist loss was recorded as 72 percent. In January-November period of 12.04 million foreign
tourists came to Turkey. In 2019, this figure was 42.91 million.
Most visitors to Turkey came from countries such as Russia, Bulgaria and Germany during the January-November period.
