China has launched a 'digital yuan wallet' application for use on mobile phones. The People's Bank of China is speeding up its steps to develop its digital currency. As of today, the application named "e-CNY" has taken its place in the Chinese versions of the Apple and Android stores. In the statement in the application, it is stated that the wallet application is in the research and development phase and can only be used by institutions that support e-CNY services and some banks.
