The German Wirthwein Group has made a second major investment.

The German Wirthwein Group purchased 70% of Farel Plastik, a Farplas Group company, in April 2015. After exactly seven years, the second giant investment from the German Wirthwein Group was made. The German company announced that they will establish a joint venture with the Turkish wood products company Balorman. Wirthwein Group, one of Germany's leading plastic component manufacturers, once again reached an agreement with Turkey. The German company, which first bought 70% of Farel Elektrik, owned by Farplas, one of Turkey's leading automotive sub-industry groups, announced that it has decided to invest for the second time. Wirhtwein stated that they will cooperate with Turkey's important wood products company Balorman Nature Products. If an agreement is reached, the parties receiving the official approvals will register a joint venture in Turkey in the wood business line for particle boards. Balorman, which started its journey with timber production in the wood sector in 1958, continues its wood and plastic activities in its Bolu, Çerkezköy, Ergene, Romania factories, Darıca, İzmir, Adana service centers and Poland distribution warehouse as of today. The German giant, which decided to establish a joint venture with Balorman, started its work in 1949 after the Second World War. The company, which supplies products for a total of more than 30 thousand kilometers of railway lines used by trains at speeds up to 450 km/h worldwide, also includes the world-famous Beijing-Shanghai high-speed train project among the countries where the company works. Managed by the Wirthwein family, the company has 22 factories in total in Poland, Spain, China, the USA and Turkey, apart from Germany. The annual turnover of the German company, which employs 3 thousand 650 employees in these facilities, was recorded as approximately 450 million euros.
