The Mood In The German Car Industry Improved

The mood in the German car industry improved significantly in October. However, the expectations of companies in the industry for the coming months are no longer so optimistic, a survey by the Munich institute Ifo showed. "Demand for cars has increased significantly. This has significantly improved the mood of managers," said Klaus Wohlrabe, head of Ifo's research department. The mood index in the automotive industry reached 8.5 points in October and is even higher than a year ago. Capacity utilization in the automotive industry rose to 86% in October, to 73% in July. The current situation index rose to -0.2 points from -20.4 points in September, reaching a low of -86.2 points in April. The expectations index fell to 17.7 points in October for the fourth month in a row from 27.6%. The index of outstanding orders fell to 29.2 points from 51.5 points.
