The first meeting of the Price Stability Committee will begin at 11:00 tomorrow. The main agenda of the meeting to be chaired by Minister
Nebati was determined as "Inflation Developments and Risks Regarding the Future Inflation Outlook."
In addition to Minister
Nebati, the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Energy and Natural Resources, Industry and Technology, Agriculture and Forestry, and Trade are included in the Price Stability Committee, which was implemented with the Presidential Decree published on June 30. The President of the Presidency Strategy and Budget and the President of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey are among the members. The coordination and secretariat activities of the committee are carried out by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.
Established to address managed/directed prices, risks threatening price stability, and measures to be taken to address them, and to respond to supply-side shocks, where the effectiveness of
monetary policy is limited, the Committee is expected to focus on developing structural policy recommendations for price stability.
