The Sandbox Partnership for Time Square

TIME, the popular media company of the USA, has attracted attention with its new announcement. NFT community initiative Sandbox and TIMEPieces have signed a new partnership today to develop TIME Square, the companies' first destination in the Metaverse.

TIME and Sandbox collaborated to create a TIME Square on Metaverse. Known as the beating heart of New York, TIME Square will be inspired by the visual spirit and energy of the region. It will also take its place on the media outlet's virtual estate in Sandbox as a destination for arts and commerce. TIME Square will meet people as an inclusive environment that offers unique experiences to TIMEPieces owners. It will also serve the TIMEPieces community by providing virtual access to discussions, events, screenings of TIME Studios projects, and educational experiences. TIME President Keith A. Grossman spoke about their collaboration while making evaluations during The Sandbox's event at NFT.NYC. Making an open call to creators to design TIME Square, Grossman noted that he will turn to the vibrant worldwide community of Metaverse enthusiasts to identify a creator to redesign. “Our goal is to create a destination that will be the heart of the Metaverse world. We've also focused on one goal since we launched TIMEPIeces in September 2021. Our goal is to focus on developing a community on the Web3 that leverages the incredible 100-year legacy and reach that TIME has built. TIMEPieces is our latest venture into NFTs, this time also with the goal of promoting community and loyalty. Most of the NFT drops that have occurred in the media space to date have focused on high-end singles or multiple editions of collections.
