In the Senate General Assembly, the 1.5 trillion dollar budget bill, which includes the aid package to Ukraine and provides funding to the government until September 30, was accepted with the "yes" votes of 68 senators against the "no" votes of 31 senators.
The $13.6 billion aid package to Ukraine includes military aid to the country and support for Ukrainian refugees who had to flee abroad.
The White House had requested additional funding for Ukraine aid in a letter it sent to the Senate earlier this month.

In a statement on his Twitter account, US National Security Advisor
Jake Sullivan said that he was pleased that the long-running talks between the White House and Congress on the Iron Dome had concluded.
The budget bill in question will be submitted for the signature of US President Joe Biden for enactment.
