The use of industrial robots has reached a record level
The use of industrial robots in the world has reached a record level. According to the latest report from the International Robotics Federation (IFR), the average robot utilization rate is 113 per 10,000 employees.
Western Europe (225 robots) and the Nordic European countries (204) have the production with the highest degree of automation. In third place is North America (153) and Southeast Asia (119).
The ten countries with the highest use of robots are Singapore (918), South Korea (868),
Japan (364), Germany (346), Sweden (274), Denmark (243), Hong Kong (242),
Chinese Taipei (234) , USA (228) and Belgium and Luxembourg (214).
In Singapore and South Korea, it is the electronics sector, but especially the production of processors, computer peripherals and displays, which requires a significant deployment of industrial robots. Japan is known for the widespread use of robots, as even robots assemble robots in this country. Germany is the largest user of industrial robots in Europe and their use in the automotive industry is among the highest in the world.
