Tim Cook Gives Tips About Apple's Car Plans! Tim Cook, who gave some clues about Apple's car plans,  shared his thoughts on Elon Musk and Tesla. Apple CEO Tim Cook pointed to his work in autonomous vehicles after news that the company is holding new talks to develop its own car. “In my view, autonomy itself is a fundamental technology,” Cook said in an interview with Black Swisher, published on Monday. If you step back one way or another, you'll find that the car is a robot in many ways. Since the autonomous car is also a robot, there are many things you can do with autonomy. We will see what Apple is doing about this over time. We are investigating many things inside. Many of them will never see daylight. I am not saying that this will not happen. " Not wanting to comment on the question of whether Apple works for an entire car or its technology, Cook said, “We love to integrate hardware, software, and services and find their intersections. We also love to have the primary technology around that. ” said.

Apple, which has long been expected to enter the car business with its own vehicle or to sell its technology to other automakers, has taken a number of steps to show that it plans to do so. Working to strengthen its engineering levels, the company acquired the autonomous vehicle startup Drive.ai in 2019. Apple hired Doug Field, then Tesla's senior vice president of engineering, in 2018, likely to work on self-driving cars. It also attracted several former Tesla employees, including former Tesla Vice President of Engineering Michael Schwekutsch, who is now Senior Engineering Manager for the Special Projects Group at Apple. Cook refused to hold a meeting, although Tesla CEO Elon Musk wanted to start negotiations to sell the company to Apple. Cook told Swisher that he admired Elon, "Tesla has done an incredible job and highly appreciated them by maintaining his leadership for this long." CNBC reported that Apple is close to making a deal with Hyundai-Kia to produce an Apple-branded autonomous electric vehicle at the Kia assembly plant in West Point, Georgia. However, the car manufacturers later denied the allegations.   Source:
