TOGG Trial Production Started

Test production has started in line with plans at the TOGG Gemlik Facility, the foundation of which was laid on July 18, 2020.

In the two years since the start of construction, TOGG's Gemlik Facility has started trial production in line with the plans. TOGG said on its official twitter account, "We held our Board of Directors meeting this month at our Gemlik Facility, where we started trial production. After our meeting, we held a consultation meeting with our Minister of Trade, Mr. Mehmet Muş, who visited our facilities. We held a consultation meeting and test drive with Mr. Mehmet Muş, our Minister of Trade, who visited our facilities after our meeting." The Gemlik Facility, which will also house the R&D Center, Style Design Center, Prototype Development and Test Center, Strategy and Management Center and User Experience Park units, is planned to start mass production in the last quarter of this year. TOGG stated that they will first introduce the C-SUV to the market. Following the completion of technical competence (certification) tests in European norms, the C-segment born Electric SUV will be launched at the end of the first quarter of 2023, followed by Sedan and Hatchback models in the C segment. TOGG plans to produce a total of 1 million vehicles with the production of 5 different models from a single platform until 2030. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech about TOGG: "Our goal is to launch it this year and hopefully enjoy it together. Construction of the factory in Gemlik, Bursa, started in July 2020. The paint and body facility and the 1.6 kilometer test track have been completed. The assembly facility is 98 percent complete. The chemical filling phase started in Europe's cleanest paint shop facility. The facilities will be ready for mass production in the last quarter of this year. The first mass production vehicles will roll off the line in the last quarter of this year. Battery production will be done in Turkey. Work is ongoing."
