Trump Won't Extend The Time Given To TikTok Trump will not extend the time given to TikTok. TikTok, owned by Chinese ByteDance, was given time to sell its US operations.   According to information obtained from Reuters, US President Donald Trump previously gave the owner of the company time to sell the TikTok app to US operations. According to the new statement, Trump said he will not extend the time allowed for TikTok, owned by Chinese company ByteDance, to sell its US operations. Speaking to reporters before leaving Michigan, US President Donald Trump stated the following:

"TikTok will either be closed or they will sell. The time given to TikTok will not be extended."

TikTok Remains Quiet Against Developments US President Trump banned the TikTok application, which had 100 million users in the US, in early August; Later, due to the interest of Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), the ban was lifted, giving the parties 45 days to agree.   On the other hand, US officials are concerned that TikTok users' information may be transferred to Beijing.
