Turkey and Ukraine wants to put relations into concrete projects. Minister Varank met with Prime Minister of Ukraine
Shmyhal.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, made a visit to Turkey today. In this context, Prime Minister Shmyhal met with Minister of Industry and Technology Varank and President of the Presidency Defense Industry İsmail Demir at the Mabeyn Mansion.
Making a statement before the meeting, Minister Varank stated that they chose the Mabeyn Mansion, which dates back to 400 years, for the meeting with the Ukrainian delegation and continued as follows:
“This place has witnessed many historical events over the centuries. Today, we will witness a historical day in terms of our relations with Ukraine. We want to put our relations, which have gained a strong momentum between our countries, into concrete projects. We hope that this visit will bring new cooperation for both countries.”
Ukrainian Prime Minister Shmyhal, Minister of Industry and Technology Varank and President of the Presidency Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir chaired the negotiations between delegations after a private meeting.
At the meeting, cooperation projects between the two countries in the fields of industry, technology and defense industry were evaluated. President of the Presidency of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, President of TÜBİTAK Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, President of Turkish Space Agency Serdar Huseyin Yildirim, Vice President of the Defense Industry Faruk Yigit, Defense Aerospace Cluster Association (SAHA Istanbul) Chairman and Baykar General Manager Haluk Bayraktar, ASELSAN Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Board Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkinci, HAVELSAN General Manager Mehmet Akif Nacar and TUSAŞ Motor Sanayii AŞ (TEI) General Manager Mahmut Faruk Akşit and SAHA Istanbul General Secretary İlhami Keleş were present during the meeting.
Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Responsible for Strategic Industries Oleg Uruskiy, Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Vladislav Kriklii and Ukraine's Ambassador to Ankara Andrii Sybiha were among the Ukrainian delegation.
After the press members took the footage, the meeting continued without the press.
