Turkey’s Oil Production Has Increased
Turkey’s oil production has increased. Turkey’s oil production in 2020 exceeded 22 million barrels.
Fatih Dönmez, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, reported that Turkey’s oil production exceeded 22 million barrels in 2020, with an increase of 1.5 million barrels compared to the previous year. The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez, who shared a post on his official Twitter account, made the following statements:
“The steps we have taken in all areas of energy in 2020 did not slow down the oil production. Our
oil production exceeded 22 million barrels in 2020, increasing 1.5 million barrels compared to the previous year. We will make Turkey an energy production and technology center.”
Annual Increase Was 1.5 Million Barrel
Minister Dönmez stated that in 2019, a total of 20 million 750 thousand barrels of crude oil was produced, of which 14 million 664 thousand barrels belong to the public and 6 million 85 thousand barrels to the private sector.
Minister Fatih Dönmez stated that 16 million 613 thousand barrels of crude oil was produced by the public sector and 5 million 656 thousand barrels by the private sector in 2020, and that the annual increase is 1.5 million barrels in 2020.
