Turkish markets rise at the close; BIST 100 gains 0.39

Turkish equity markets rose after Friday's close, with shares in the Insurance, Textiles & Leather and Non-Metallic Mineral Products sectors gaining.

The BIST 100 was up 0.39% at the close of the Istanbul bourse. Ege Endüstri ve Ticaret A.Ş. (IS:EGEEN), which trades below the BIST 100 and was the best performer of the session, is trading at 2.00, up 10.00% or 235.60 points. Meanwhile, Çemtaş Çelik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (IS:CEMTS) is trading at 38.20, up 9.96% or 3.46 points, while Net Holding A.Ş. (IS:NTHOL) is trading at 11.62, up 7.99% or 0.86 points. Tofaş Türk Otomobil Fabrikasi A.Ş. (IS:TOASO), which had the worst performance of the session, closed at 97.90, down 3.55% or 3.60 points. Türkiye Halk Bankası (IS:HALKB) fell 3.39% or 0.26 points to trade at 7.40 while İpek Doğal Enerji Kaynakları Araştırma ve Üretim A.Ş. (IS:IPEKE) lost 2.78% or 0.60 points to trade at 21.00. The number of stocks gaining value on the Istanbul Stock Exchange was 273 while the number of stocks losing value was 180. In addition, 28 stocks remained unchanged. Ege Endüstri ve Ticaret A.Ş. (IS:EGEEN) shares rose 10.00% or 235.60% to an all-time high of 2.00. Çemtaş Çelik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (IS:CEMTS) shares gained 9.96% or 3.46 to an all-time high of 38.20. Gold Futures for December delivery lost 0.51% or 8.80 to trade at $1.00 an ounce. Elsewhere in commodities, November-dated Crude Oil WTI Futures are trading at $92.31 a barrel, up 4.36% or 3.86%. Meanwhile, Brent Oil Futures for December delivery are trading at $98.05 a barrel, up 3.84% or 3.63%. USD/TRY is trading up 0.07% at 18.59 while EUR/TRY is trading down 0.05% at 18.18.
