Turkish Statistical Institute has announced its new housing sales data for the month of September. Accordingly, 136.7 thousand houses were sold in September. Initial annual sales decreased by 19.49 percent, and rose 28.27 percent in August. Second-hand sales, on the other hand, decreased by 0.15 percent on an annual basis and increased by 69.21 percent in August. While sales to foreigners increased by 26.1 percent on an annual basis in September, it increased by 8 percent in August. Mortgage sales fell 38.5 percent in September compared to the same month of 2019. In August, an increase of 122.6 percent was recorded.
