The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will hold its third meeting within the framework of the studies to determine the minimum wage that will be valid in 2021. At this meeting, the Türk-İş delegation representing the worker segment will make a presentation. Representatives of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and the Ministry of Commerce presented economic data and reports at the commission last week. In this meeting, TURKSTAT representatives shared the livelihood amount of a worker, which is one of the most important issues in the raise bargain. In the statement made by Türk-İş, it was emphasized that the minimum wage that should be a starting wage has turned into a living wage over time, and the following was stated: “Today, 7 million of our people have to live on the minimum wage. Inflation, the livelihoods and the minimum wage obtained are known to everyone. Therefore, employers and the government should bring a figure to the table that will make people happy. As we said before, employees will accept. If there is a number, we, as Türk-İş, say 'yes' to it. We are waiting for offers from the employers and the government. According to the next proposal, we will re-evaluate the situation. “
