TurkStat will now publish quarterly moving averages and published monthly labor force data as results of independent monthly estimates.

In the statement made by TURKSTAT, it was stated that it will make changes in "Labor Force Statistics" due to reasons such as working types and changes in the labor market, developing policy needs, unemployment rate is not sufficient to measure idle labor force alone.   The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) published the following statements: "In the current situation, results of independent monthly forecasts will be published instead of quarterly moving averages and monthly labor statistics. Thus, more timely and monthly indicators will be produced. Monthly news bulletins and summary basic labor force indicators will be shared with the public and will be published in quarterly and annual bulletins. The details shared at present will be preserved. The comparable series of the HLFS results will be calculated according to the new definitions and shared with the public. " In the Bulletin, it was also announced to the public that the first newsletter regarding monthly estimates with reference period of January 2021 in the National Data Release Calendar will be published on March 10, 2021. Due to the continuation of pandemic conditions and the need for additional time to calculate comparable series according to new definitions. , On April 12, 2021, the results for January 2021 will be shared with the public through statistical tables and the results for February 2021 through the newsletter.
