Two More Ministers Were Dismissed In Turkey

With the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Minister of Trade and the Minister of Family, Labor and Social Services were dismissed.

Two more ministers were dismissed in Turkey. AK Party Chairman and 12th President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, dismissed Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan and Minister of Family, Labor and Social Services Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk. The Presidential Decree for the establishment of the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the decisions regarding appointments made to some ministries entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated April 21, 2021 and numbered 31461. AK Party Istanbul Deputy Mehmet Muş was appointed to Ministry of Trade in order to replace Ruhsar Pekcan.

Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services Divided in Two

Cabinet structure was changed with the signature of President Erdogan. Accordingly, the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services was divided into the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. AK Party Central Decision and Executive Board Member Derya Yanık was appointed as the Minister of Family and Social Services. Vedat Bilgin, Vice President of the Presidency Social Policies Board and Chief Advisor to the President, was appointed to the Ministry of Labor and Social Services.
