UAE Canceled The Economic Boycott They Imposed On Israel

The relations of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), known for its opposition to the Arab countries that show the greatest resistance to the occupation of Palestinian territories, have deepened in recent years through mutual high-level visits and meetings. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced on August 13 that they reached an agreement with Israel to "completely normalize their relations", and today they canceled the "economic boycott" they imposed on Israel. UAE media announced that UAE President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has signed a decree allowing financial and commercial deals with Israel. It was stated that the decree in question was aimed at "supporting cooperation for the establishment of bilateral relations".

What Is The UAE-Israel Agreement?

It is claimed that within the scope of the agreement made with the mediation of the USA, peace will be established in the Middle East and the potential in the region will be unlocked. The Palestinian People's Liberation Front (PFLP) described the normalization agreement between the UAE and Israel as a dagger stuck in the back of the Palestinian people.

UAE Becomes Third Country To Sign Agreement With Israel

US President Donald Trump announced on August 13 that Israel and the UAE had reached an agreement to "completely normalize their relations". According to an official statement by Jerusalem, Abu Dhabi, and Washington, when the agreement was announced on August 13, delegations from Israel and the UAE are expected to meet in the coming weeks “to sign bilateral agreements regarding investment, tourism, direct flights, security, telecommunications, technology, energy, healthcare, culture, the environment, the establishment of reciprocal embassies, and other areas of mutual benefit.” The United Arab Emirates is the third Arab country to sign a normalization agreement with Israel, after Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994.
