UK Approved the Usage of the AstraZeneca Vaccine
UK has approved the usage of the
AstraZeneca vaccine. The government announced that it made this decision on the recommendation of the Medicines and Health Services Regulatory Agency.
The UK approved the use of the coronavirus vaccine developed by Oxford and AstraZeneca on the recommendation of the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency.
In the statement made by
AstraZeneca, it was stated that vaccination will begin in 2021 and its priority will be applied to risky groups.
The coronavirus vaccine developed by AstraZeneca and Oxford was recorded as the second vaccine to receive emergency use approval in the country after Pfizer and BionTech.
With the aforementioned approval, England will speed up the vaccination process. The government has ordered 100 million doses, investing more in locally produced vaccine than any other product. The approved vaccine will be easier to distribute. The reason for this is that the vaccine is practical than the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and only the refrigerator temperature is sufficient rather than the deep freezer.
The government advisory group reported that it aims to vaccinate as many people as possible.
