Unemployment in the euro area remained at the level of August in September, for which the data were revised and unemployment reached a higher value than originally reported.This was pointed out by preliminary data published on Friday by the statistical office of the European Union, Eurostat.According to Eurostat, the euro area unemployment rate reached 8.3% in September.This is in line with economists' estimates and the same value as after the revision in August.Unemployment was originally reported at 8.1%, the same value as in July.By comparison, last September, unemployment in the euro area reached 7.5%.In the European Union, the unemployment rate stood at 7.5% in September, again stagnating.In September last year, it reached 6.6%.
