Unemployment Rates Have Been Determined
Unemployment rates have been announced. The unemployment rate, which decreased by 0.5 points compared to July last year, was 13.4.

TURKSTAT) has released the unemployment data for the month of July.
According to the data, in Turkey, the number of unemployed across the country over the age of 15 in July decreased by 369 thousand persons compared to the same period last year and was 4 million 227 thousand people. In the same period, the unemployment rate decreased by 0.5 points to 13.4 percent.
Non-agricultural unemployment rate decreased by 0.6 points and realized as 15.9. The youth unemployment rate, which is based on the 15-24 age group, was 25.9 percent with a 1.2 percentage point decrease in the said month. The unemployment rate in the 15-64 age group was recorded as 13.7 percent with a 0.5 point decrease.
In the light of this information, the number of employed people decreased by 1 million 254 thousand people in July compared to the same month of the previous year and decreased to 27 million 263 thousand people. The employment rate was 43.5 percent with a 2.9 percentage point decrease.
During the period in question, the number of employed people decreased by 361 thousand in the agricultural sector, 246 thousand in the industry, 761 thousand in the service, and 114 thousand in construction. While 19.4 percent of the employed people were from agriculture, 19.6 percent were from industry, 6.1 percent from construction and 54.9 percent from the service sector.
Workforce Ratio Decreased
The workforce decreased by 1 million 622 thousand people in July compared to the same period of the previous year, and the labor force participation rate was 50.3 percent with a decrease of 3.5 percentage points.
The ratio of unregistered employees, which shows the share of those who are not affiliated with any social security institution, in the total employees decreased by 3.3 points in July compared to the same period of the previous year and was recorded as 32.7 percent. The ratio of informal workers in the non-agricultural sector decreased by 3.1 points to 20.1 percent in this period.
Employment Rate Not Based on Seasonal Effect
Unemployment, not based on seasonal effects, was 13.6 percent in July, an increase of 0.5 points compared to the previous period. The number of unemployed was recorded as 4 million 207 thousand persons with a 75 thousand decrease compared to the previous period.
The employment rate, which is not based on seasonal effects, increased by 0.8 points compared to the previous period and became 42.6 percent in July. The number of employed persons increased by 540 thousand persons and was estimated as 26 million 648 thousand persons.
The labor force participation rate not based on seasonal effects, increased by 0.7 points compared to the previous period and reached 49.3 percent in July. The number of people participating in the workforce increased by 464 thousand people and reached 30 million 855 thousand people.
According to economic activity, employment not based on seasonal effects, decreased by 28 thousand people in the agricultural sector, 57 thousand in industry, 111 thousand in construction, and 399 thousand in services.
