US 10-Year Bond Strong Prior To The FED Meeting
US 10-year bond remains strong prior to the FED Meeting. Global markets focused on the FED meeting.
Prior to the
FED (US Federal Reserve) interest meeting, the three-day rally in American stocks stopped, while bond yields continue to be effective in determining pricing.
While the US 10-year bond yield broke the level of 1.65 percent, the 30-year bond yield reached the highest level since November 2019 with 2.419 percent. In the US, the 2-year and 10-year bond yield curves crossed 150 basis points for a short time. After the dynamism in bond yields, the decrease in Nasdaq 100 index futures started to accelerate.
FED (US Federal Reserve) will announce its interest rate decision in an environment of rising US bond yields and parallel inflation expectations. FED Chairman Jerome Powell will give a speech after the announcement of the decision. However, at the meeting, where the interest rates are expected to be left in the 0-0.25 percent band, the main issue that will attract attention due to the rapid economic recovery is expected to be the "dot plot" containing the mid-term estimates of the FED members.
