US 10-Year Bond Yield Declined
While there was a decline in the US 10-year bond yields in global markets, the rise in the US dollar did not go unnoticed.
US 10-year
bond yield declined. Following the new records in the US indices, a trend was observed in global markets on the last trading day of the week. With the announcement of financial income data in China, it was seen that the losses in the indices were deleted.
China's financial income data grew by 18.3 percent in the first quarter of 2021, breaking a record. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg expected a growth of 18.5 percent. While the coronavirus epidemic played a role in the record growth, the quarterly growth was 0.6 percent, indicating a slowdown in the economic growth momentum. The Chinese economy grew by 2.6 percent in the last three months of last year. Retail sales, on the other hand, increased by 34.2 percent in March, exceeding the expectations of 28 percent growth.
Following the growth data from China, the CSI 300 index recovered its losses and followed a horizontal course. There were slight movements in other Asian indices. The Japanese Topix and Hong Kong Hang Seng indices posted a limited rise. On the other hand, South Korean Kospi index remained flat on the negative side.
The S&P 500 index, which approached its record closing level on Thursday, gave a declining message for the first time.
The Bloomberg Dollar Index rose 0.1 percent in the morning. The US 10-year bond yield, which fell 6 basis points in the American session, was recorded at 1.58 percent.
