US Deal for Monkeypox Vaccine - The United States Department of Health and Human Services announced an $11 million deal with US-based company Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing (GRAM) for the smallpox and monkeypox vaccine called JYNNEOS.
In a statement recorded by Minister Xavier Becerra, it was noted that they signed an $11 million agreement with GRAM, under which GRAM will produce the necessary materials for the vaccine and train the necessary personnel.
"This agreement will give us the vaccine production capacity we need to end the pandemic as soon as possible," Becerra said.
The
Joe Biden administration had announced that they had recorded an order for 5 million doses of JYNNEOS vaccine from the warehouse in Denmark. According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the monkeypox outbreak has now spread to all 50 states of the country. To date, 15,400 cases have been announced in the country.
