US Indices Started the Day High
US indices started the day high. Earnings reports of companies, which were above expectations, were reflected in the indices as an increase.
At the beginning of the day, Dow Jones index increased by 0.22 and traded at 30.791.80 points. The S&P 500 index started trading at 3,840.64 points with an increase of 0.27 percent, while the Nasdaq index started trading at 13,692.21 points with an increase of 0.60 percent.

PayPal, which offers online payment services, announced that its revenue increased by 23 percent in the last quarter of last year compared to the same period of the previous year and increased 6.12 billion. With the impact of the company's balance sheet that exceeded expectations, PayPal's shares increased by more than 8 percent.
Electronic commerce platform eBay's revenue grew by 28 percent in the fourth quarter of 2020, reaching $ 2.9 billion. The company's shares gained nearly 10 percent after a good balance sheet.
On the other hand, the number of people who applied for unemployment benefits for the first time in the USA decreased more than expected in the week ending January 30, to 779 thousand. The data, which has been declining for the last 3 weeks, saw the lowest level recorded since November 2020.
