US Sanctions on Chinese Companies Continue
US sanctions on Chinese companies continue. The country is now preparing to blacklist Chinese chip manufacturers.
According to the report released by Reuters, the US chip maker is considering blacklisting Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp along with many other Chinese companies.

Donald Trump was preparing to add 80 more companies and their subsidiaries to the Department of Commerce's blacklist. China's largest chip makers and others will join the list of companies unable to access US technologies, such as Huawei Technologies, which was previously blacklisted.
Chinese chip maker SMIC, oil company CNOOC, China Construction Technology Co. Ltd. and China International Engineering Consulting Corp. has been blacklisted companies since the beginning of December.
According to the information obtained by CNBC, the securities of 10 Chinese companies will be closed before the market opening on December 21. S&P DJI will also remove the securities of 11 Chinese companies from the bond indexes prior to the opening on January 1.
According to a presidential decree issued in the US in November, US investments in
Chinese companies were banned. This decree will be valid as of January 11.
