US stock markets opened on Friday with growth
US stock markets opened on Friday with growth and the key Dow Jones Industrial Average as well as the broader S&P 500 set new records.
Both indices are well on their way to recording a profitable week.
The Dow Jones reached 35,597.48 points and it was up 0.16% to 35,556.96 points.
The S&P 500 had a gain of 0.09 percent to 4465.03 points, before rising to 4466.77 points.
The
Nasdaq Composite technology index almost stagnated, standing at 14,808.65 points with a loss of 0.05 percent.
Disney stocks jumped four percent in the morning trading, helping the Dow Jones to rise to a new high. The reason was the excellent economic results for the third quarter of the current fiscal year, which exceeded market expectations.
The main German stock index Dax crossed the 16,000-point mark for the first time in history on Friday.
Dax reached 16,030.33 points on Friday. He later lost part of his profits and it was up 0.25 percent to 15,977.72 points. It has improved by 1.4 percent since the beginning of the week and by approximately 16.5 percent since the beginning of the year.
In the afternoon, all major European stock indices were in positive territory.
The
French CAC 40 index was up 0.18% around four in the afternoon, the Italian FTSE MIB, the Spanish IBEX 35 as well as the British FTSE 100 about 0.3%. The EuroStoxx 50 eurozone blue-chip index rose by about 0.1% and the pan-European STOXX Europe 600 index by less than 0.2%.
